Your participation in your child’s treatment is crucial.  You will be required to participate in caregiver training for the entire duration of your child’s services.  Your analyst will work with you to teach you the foundations of using ABA to manage behavior and teach skills.  The amount of caregiver training will typically vary throughout your child’s treatment to match their current goals and ensure a smooth transition into the child’s natural environment. 

With your permission, your child’s teacher, other service providers, siblings, and other caregivers/family members may also be involved in coordinating treatment.  It will be essential to provide direct guidance in your child’s natural environments, especially where there is problem behavior:  including home, school, and community.
